Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) is happy to accompany her longtime boyfriend, Nick (Henry Golding), to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Nervous about meeting Nick’s family, she is shocked to discover that he is the scion of one of the country’s wealthiest families and one of its most sought-after bachelors. Thrust into the spotlight, Rachel must contend with jealous socialites, quirky relatives and something far, far worse – Nick’s disapproving mother (Michelle Yeoh). (Jon M.
