Volunteer Ushers
Arts & Lectures' volunteer ushers serve as the face of Arts & Lectures at events, taking tickets at the door, handing out programs and seating patrons. Volunteer ushers are on duty from 90 minutes prior to the start of an event until 30 minutes after it begins, and again during intermission. Volunteer ushers must become knowledgeable about A&L programs and be able to communicate effectively and courteously with A&L patrons. Neat appearance and dependability are essential, as is the ability to stand for 90 minutes at a time. Ushers are asked to provide their own work clothes: black (no denim) pants or skirt and a white collared shirt. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. Evening and weekend hours.
