“Expect miracles when you read Ann Patchett’s fiction.” The New York Times
Ann Patchett is a celebrated author, devoted reader and a champion of literary culture. She has written 13 books and has been the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including England’s Orange Prize, the PEN/Faulkner Award and a Guggenheim Fellowship. In 2011, Patchett opened Parnassus Books in Nashville and has been named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People in the World for her efforts on behalf of independent booksellers, books and bookstores. Patchett’s most recent novel, The Dutch House, is her most powerful novel to date. A richly moving story filled with suspense, it’s the story of a paradise lost, a tour de force that digs deeply into questions of love and forgiveness, of how we want to see ourselves and of who we really are. Patchett’s previous novel, Commonwealth, was selected as a New York Times Best Book of the Year, a Time Top 10 selection for 2016 and was a NBCC Award Finalist.
