“One of the best scientist-writers of our time, able to deal with the weightiest topics both authoritatively and wittily, with so light a touch they become accessible to all.” – Oliver Sacks

Robert Sapolsky is one of the world’s leading neuroscientists, known for studying animals to find what they can tell us about human behaviors. Dubbed the “world’s funniest neuroscientist” (Salon.com) and described as what you might get “if you crossed Jane Goodall with a borscht belt comedian” (The New York Times), Sapolsky is the author of A Primate’s Memoir: A Neuroscientist’s Unconventional Life Among the Baboons and Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers: Stress Disease and Coping. A MacArthur Fellow and a professor of biology and neurology at Stanford University, Sapolsky’s latest book, Behave: The Biology of Humans at Our Best and Worst, examines human behavior in search of why do we do the things we do.
