“Tackles a subject almost beyond comprehension… Why isn’t every government, every philosopher, every theologian, everywhere in the world discussing Onkalo and its implications?” The Guardian (UK)
This mind-bending film explores the utter impossibility of storing nuclear waste for 100,000 years, the time estimated by scientists to render it safe. Especially relevant since the earthquake and crisis at the nuclear plants in Fukushima, Japan, Into Eternity is both a film about the Onkalo storage facility being constructed in Finland and a startlingly beautiful work of art. (Michael Madsen, 2010, 75 min.)
Filmmaker Michael Madsen will introduce his film and answer audience questions after the screening.
