As the 22nd U.S. Poet Laureate, Tracy K. Smith is on a mission to bring poetry to the masses, showing how poetry can help people see the world from other perspectives. Smith’s acclaimed collections of poetry include Wade in the Water and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Life on Mars, and her memoir, Ordinary Light, was a National Book Award finalist.
