Dracula (2010 Season)

Wed, Jul 7, 2010 @ 7:30 PM, Campbell Hall

Although there have been numerous screen versions of Bram Stoker’s classic tale, none is more enduring than the 1931 original. The ominous portrayal of Count Dracula by Bela Lugosi, combined with horror specialist director Tod Browning, help to create the film’s eerie mood. Dracula has been remastered to feature a special musical score by world-renowned composer Philip Glass that is performed by the acclaimed Kronos Quartet, lending even greater depth to an already timeless classic! (1931, 75 min.) Also showing on Fri, July 9 at 8:30 PM/ The Sunken Garden at the SB Country Courthouse, Films presented by UCSB Arts & Lectures, Santa Barbara County Park Foundation, Santa Barbara County Arts Commission and the Santa Barbara Film Commission.

Sponsored by the Santa Barbara Independent and KCSB 91.9. Films at UCSB are presented with support from ACTIEF and the Freshman Summer Start Program.
